Exciting Cross Country Course changes at Tattersalls 2017

Work is well under way for the 2017 Tattersalls International Horse Trials (31 May – 4 June) which will feature new cross country courses across all classes this year.
In addition to the new Cross Country courses, Tattersalls Ireland are delighted to announce the appointment of Mr Pat Kelly, Manager of The Curragh Training Grounds, one of the leading equine facilities in the world, as Ground Consultant to the International Horse Trials. Pat will advise and contribute with regard to the on-going maintenance and preparation of the land for this prestigious event in the international equestrian calendar.
FEI Cross Country designer and former Olympian, Mr Ian Stark OBE, said “I am really looking forward to Tatts 2017. All the classes have new Cross Country courses, as we’ve turned the tracks round. This gives a totally different feel and creates some very exciting new challenges for the rider. Riders returning to Tatts 2017 will certainly need to allow extra time for serious course walking!!”
Managing Director of Tattersalls Ireland, Roger Casey, commented “The Tattersalls International Horse Trials is now one of the biggest equestrian events in the world and we are continuously striving to develop and improve it. The newly designed courses, along with the appointment of such a well-respected ground consultant as Pat Kelly, will bring a new dimension to this year’s event. The on-going annual effort to upgrade facilities in general including a new dedicated event water reservoir in 2017, will be hugely beneficial this year- a year when we are also hosting a leg of the eventing FEI Nations Cup Series for the first time”.
Riders coming from abroad can also take advantage of valuable discounts with the new ferry partner Stena Line, along with a chance to win a draw for a free ferry crossing by booking their travel to Tatts 2017 on one of their three routes from Britain.
Entries are now open for the 2017 Tattersalls International Horse Trials.
Tickets for Tattersalls International Horse Trials are available now at up to 20% discount on line at www.tatts.ie or through Facebook.
